Per: Camille CHATAIGNIER

The city of Marrakech hosted this weekend, the events of the world championship of judo all categories. For the tenth time in history, French Judoka Teddy Riner won the game.

It's ten for Teddy Riner! The French Judoka will long remember his passage through the ochre city. It was at the Palais des Congrès, transformed for the occasion, that the young athlete entered the legend by winning a 144th victory in a row and, above all, what no one had ever done before, a tenth world champion title!
Yet this weekend, all the world's greatest judo names were present. 60 judokas including Georgian rival Ilias Iliadis, Teddy Riner's rival par excellence, made the trip to try to win the famous title. It was without counting on the determination of the Frenchman who was determined to make history. No doubt that his passage through the ochre city will remain engraved in his memory and that of world sport!
